Stop coping. Start living.

You've spent enough time in your head. It's time to listen to your body.

Do you feel like a square peg in a round hole? Or that life is passing you by?

Perhaps you're done with pretending things are fine, or shrinking to fit in or please people, or maybe you're finally ready to stop ignoring the signs that you’re ready for more.

I’m Gail J Chisholm. After navigating a career in finance, a business exit, a life-altering battle with breast cancer, divorce and early menopause, I realised that "staying stuck" has a cost our bodies eventually refuse to pay.

I created Unstuck Embodiment to support people like you navigate life, whether you are looking to completely change your life or seeking an hour a week to feel calmer and more grounded.

The weekly practice

These aren't "fitness" classes. These are guided 60 minute sessions to help you move from overwhelmed, stressed, having a busy mind, or disconnected to calm, clarity, and strong.

Move & Breathe: get rid of the week's stress with somatic, kundlini-inspired, movement, meditation and breathwork designed to a specific theme or energy centre (e.g. heart centre, motivation, clarity, grounding, emotional release etc.)

Curated Experience: every class features a hand-picked soundtrack and 15 minutes of integration at the end for you to journal with my provided prompts or to simply sit and feel into your body.

Supportive, Not Performative: along with the workbook to help you reconnect to yourself, I provide steady, nurturing guidance and all you need to bring is your presence.

The Result?

You leave feeling connected, energised and clear. When you're in your body, you stop second guessing yourself and start knowing what your next move in life is, whether a tiny baby step or a giant leap!

What is Embodiment?

Embodiment is the practice of bringing awareness back into the body through kundalini-inspired movement, breathwork, mantra, music and somatic awareness.

In these sessions, we work gently and intentionally to support:

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Release of held tension

  • Feelings of ease and presence

  • A sense of accomplishment and inner strength

  • Feeling more connected to yourself

Is this class for you?

Yes! Embodiment classes are for everyone.

You will benefit from embodiment classes if you:

  • feel tense, stressed, overwhelmed, or stuck

  • spend a lot of time in your head

  • want to support your nervous system gently

  • seeking to feel calm, joy and contentment in life

  • curious about embodiment without intensity or pressure

  • want to feel more at home in your body

  • want a tool to support you with lasting change in your life

  • want to grow your confidence and inner strength

How embodiment can support you with:

When you’re making changes, holding big goals, or standing at a threshold, the body often carries uncertainty before the mind catches up. Embodiment helps you meet, not resist, change and move forward with more ease and confidence.

Benefits may include:

  • Supporting your nervous system through periods of uncertainty or transition

  • Reducing overwhelm when your mind is busy or looping

  • Creating a sense of internal safety while you move forward

  • Increasing capacity to hold discomfort without shutting down

  • Feeling more resourced, grounded, and able to take aligned action

Embodiment offers a gentle way to reconnect with your body after it has been through change, treatment, or trauma. Many people experience a sense of disconnection, vigilance, or mistrust in their body following cancer. Speaking from personal experience, embodiment supports rebuilding a relationship with your body based on listening rather than pushing. This work is always choice-led, adaptable, and honours where you are right now.

Benefits may include:

  • Reconnecting with your body in a way that feels safe and respectful

  • Supporting nervous system regulation after prolonged stress or treatment

  • Releasing stored tension without needing to talk about your experience

  • Rebuilding trust, confidence, and a sense of presence in your body

  • Feeling more at home in your body again, on your own terms

During menopause, many people feel unfamiliar in their body, more reactive, tired, tense, or disconnected from their sense of self. Embodiment supports you to work with your changing nervous system rather than against it. This is not about fixing your body, but about learning how to listen to it differently.

Benefits may include:

  • Calming the nervous system during times of hormonal change

  • Supporting better stress tolerance and emotional regulation

  • Releasing tension held in the body from disrupted sleep or ongoing pressure

  • Reconnecting with strength, softness, and agency in your body

  • Feeling steadier, more grounded, and more resourced day to day

If you train, compete, or exercise regularly, embodiment complements physical conditioning by developing awareness, recovery, and regulation. It supports performance without adding more strain and longevity, not burnout.

Benefits may include:

  • Improved body awareness and movement efficiency

  • Supporting recovery by down-regulating the nervous system

  • Releasing habitual tension that can impact performance or lead to injury

  • Developing better breath-body coordination

  • Learning when to push and when to rest, with greater clarity

What to expect in a session

Each class includes:

  • Gentle, guided movement

  • Breath and body-based awareness

  • Time to land, integrate, and notice

  • A carefully curated soundtrack to support the practice

  • Stillness or journaling to integrate the class

"I’d had a busy Sunday and told myself I didn’t have time for the 4pm embodiment class. That was my head talking. My body clearly had other ideas, so I showed up. I’m so glad I did.

Gail led a beautifully powerful session. I left feeling empowered and steady, with a real sense of inner calm. Exactly what I didn’t realise I needed." - Louise

People often ask

Yes. The practice supports nervous system regulation and gentle reconnection. That said, this is not a replacement for therapy or medical advice. You are responsible for your own wellbeing during the session.

You’re in exactly the right place. People often come to class because they are feeling disconnected, stuck, or overwhelmed. There’s no expectation to feel or move in a certain way. We go gently.

Not at all. This class is designed for beginners and the embodiment-curious. Everything is guided, optional, and choice-led. You’re invited to meet your body exactly where it is.

You’ll be guided through a gentle warm-up, followed by a series of movements, breath work, and / or mantra, all set to a carefully chosen sound track. We even have periods of rest to integrate and feel into the sensations in our body. You’ll be able to see and hear me, and I can see participants. While I recommend keeping your camera on, you’re welcome to keep your camera on or off at any time. The practice will last about 45 minutes and is followed by 15 minutes of either journaling using prompts I give you or sitting in stillness.

You need just enough space to move comfortably, including lying down and standing up with hands above your head. I recommend a mat, cushion, blanket, and journal. Please wear comfortable clothing and you may wish to have a head covering (e.g. hat, scarf, wide headband) to keep energy in your body.

No. This is not fitness-focused or performance-based and you can always rest at any time. Some movements or holding a position for a few moments can prove challenging, both physically and mentally. But, we don't shy away from trying these things because of the benefits and how amazing you'll feel about yourself afterwards. Modifications are available and the more you come along, the stronger you will become and more comfortable your body will be with anything that you may find hard.

Yes. New participants are asked to complete a short waiver before attending their first class, which will be sorted through the booking process. You’ll only need to do this once unless you need to update me with any relevant information. You can read the waiver by clicking here.

There are two options:

  1. Pay as you go - simply book and pay online via the booking link above. If you’re new, you’ll be guided through the waiver process automatically before your first class.

  2. Monthly Membership - join the Unstuck Embodiment membership and you'll get access to the full library of classes as well as the live classes. A great option if you can't make the live classes or really want to go deeper with your practice. Price-wise, this option is also better value.

Please check the cancellation policy at the time of booking. As this is a live class with limited spaces, late cancellations may not be refundable.

If you join the Monthly Membership, all classes are recorded and available for members to do at their leisure.

Always. Choice and consent are central to this work. You can pause, rest, adapt, or simply lie down and listen whenever you need.

Hey pals, I'm Gail

I'm the founder of The Unstuck Embodiment and a passionate advocate of the benefits of a regular practice to bring us back to our bodies. Embodiment has its roots in kundalini yoga, which I've been practicing for over a year now and firmly believe it has supported me to change my lifestyle and grow inner strength and courage. It's helped me identify conditioning and release it as well as navigating life post cancer, post menopause and post divorce. I completed my level 1 embodiment teacher training in November 2025 with Space & Freedom.

I have designed my embodiment classes to support you - real people with real lives looking for tools to support you, whether you're looking to completely change your life or seeking an hour a week to feel calmer and more grounded.

Embodiment is just one of the tools that I help people get unstuck - you can read more about what I do on my substack called The Unstuck Edit or visit my website.

I can't wait to guide you to connect to yourself.

Stay in the light, pal.

Gx
